Love Between Nations

This is a manifesto for the Love Between Nations community.

We are on the brink of an explosion of technological advancement. Soon humanity will have the power to substantially raise the living standards of all. Individuals will also have the means to have a big impact on the global scene due to the leveraging effect of more and more advanced technologies.

Because of these exponentially increasing capabilities, great opportunities and great risks arise.

There is a growing need to smooth the relationship between different cultures. This will have the following benefits:

• To promote global peace.
• To promote global justice.
• To enhance the mental health and wellbeing of all.
• To ready humanity for a greater convergence.
• To promote the idea of a single global human tribe, where diversity is its greatest strength.
• To increase business and trade between nations.

Objectives

• To promote peace and harmony between different nations.
• To expose the members to different cultures through music, art and other productions of different cultures.
• To promote love and discourage fear and doubt between people and between nations.
• To bring to awareness of the community members that all irrational fears of other cultures arise from cognitive bias, and that to combat the negative feeling of fear and hate, love and forgiveness should be used.
• Mid-term objective: to have a website and an app that offers free information on how to contribute to the aims of the community.
• Long-term objective: to build a physical presence for the community to house community members and to lead by example.
• To use the leveraging power of new technologies to enhance the wellbeing of humanity and expand the community.
• To promote the idea of equality between people regardless of all.

Community Ethos

• We reject all forms of violence including psychological abuse.
• We promote love and forgiveness as a tool to combat fear and hatred.
• We welcome all to join regardless of age, race or religion.
• We welcome spiritual means to enhance happiness and respect people's choices in selecting any.
• We discourage the use of drugs and alcohol.
• We welcome and encourage new ideas and contributions to achieve the objectives of the community.
• We support our members in hard times by all means possible including financial.
• We promote the spread of positive good news.
• We discourage the reporting of bad news and the over-analysis of it.
• This is not the place to debate which way of life is the best. We welcome and accept all.
• We welcome technology and science news.
• We welcome the promotion of good physical and mental health.
• We welcome and encourage kindness and compassion in all its forms, and encourage the reporting of news of compassionate acts.
• We welcome and encourage learning and all attempts to make it more accessible.
• We welcome and encourage entrepreneurial ideas to expand and support the community's objectives.
• We honour the creator in every person: original thought is potential wealth, and every maker deserves to be named for their work. We never present another's work as our own, and we teach by example that attribution is part of the price of knowledge.
